Welcome to The Reading Room Help Center. We’re here to help you make the most of your reading experience, whether you’re setting up your profile, adding books to your shelf, joining a book club, or connecting with other readers.
Getting Started
To begin using The Reading Room, create an account with your email address and confirm your email when prompted. Once your account is confirmed, you can complete your profile and begin building your reading space.
Create an accountYour profile helps personalize your experience. Add your display name, reading preferences, favorite genres, location if you choose, and other details that help The Reading Room recommend books and reader spaces that may fit your interests.
Open profile settingsYour Book Nook is your personal reading space. Add books you are currently reading, books you want to read, books you have finished, and books you did not finish. Keeping your shelf updated helps improve your recommendations and reading insights.
Open your shelfReader Circles help you connect with readers who share similar interests, genres, identities, or reading goals. Some circles may be open to join, while others may require approval or invitation.
Discover Reader CirclesBook clubs allow readers to gather around a shared book, vote on selections, schedule meetings, RSVP to events, and participate in discussions. Club access may vary depending on the club’s privacy settings.
Discover book clubsYou can leave reviews and ratings for books you have read. Depending on available settings, reviews may be public, private, or shared within certain reading communities.
Manage reviewsAccount and Security
If you forget your password, use the reset password option on the sign-in page. You will receive an email with instructions to create a new password.
Some features may require a verified email address. If you do not receive your confirmation email, check your spam or junk folder and confirm that your email address was entered correctly.
The Reading Room may send security notifications when important changes are made to your account, such as password changes, email changes, or sign-in method updates.
